This multi-sensory dance film blends the performance space and the digital dimension. A young hero-in-the-making attempts to defy gravity through the power of imagination and dance. One of eight short films featuring innovation in visualising dance - for Dance Passion 2022.

Step inside the imaginative and playful world of childhood, as a young hero-in-the-making attempts to defy gravity in their very own living room. Combining choreography and a 1990s aesthetic, we are transported back in time to a place flooded by the sights and sounds we once knew.

Our actions were uninhibited, possibilities seemed endless, and everything was both fresh and fascinating.

Spring-boarding from the early memories of the film’s creators, Ciaran Haggerty and Jennifer Rooney, this original short explores that most universal theme: a child’s desire to fly.

What is Dance Passion?

This is one of fourteen short films and interactive projects that explore innovative ways of capturing and experiencing dance, as part of Dance Passion - a landmark celebration of the world-class dance throughout February and March 2022. 大象传媒 Arts, in partnership with One Dance UK and supported by the Arts Council, bring you unique perspectives on the creative forces in dance, and spotlight innovation in choreography and performance.
