Beth hosts a two hour curated music show for 6 Music Loud and Proud. Featuring alternative spirited tracks that have challenged mainstream stereotypes and championed ideas of gender and sexual orientation from the 60s through Rock N Roll, Punk, Dance, Hip Hop, Queercore to the present day.

The singer talks to Tom about the changing attitudes towards LGBT+ communities in Britain through his life and music, gaining a unique perspective into being black, British and gay, both before and after the decriminalisation of homosexuality 50 years ago. Featuring his musical influences, his own much-loved songs and the stories behind them.

Jon Savage explores the frequently overlooked story of the effect of LGBT+ culture on the early days of punk and how queer punks went on to influence Eighties music. With contributions from those that were on the frontline of this cultural confluence including Jayne County, Jordan, Tom Robinson, Pete Shelley, and Pete Burns, and those who worked at gay punk clubs such a DJ Princess Julia and Ranch barman Steve Shy.
