As part of the Brangra Britain Season ´óÏó´«Ã½ Asian Network asked a panel of leading Bhangra Music experts to pull together a list of top bhangra tracks the from the 70's to 2013 and now it's time for you to pick your Greatest Bhangra Anthem.
In order to vote, you must not be a ´óÏó´«Ã½ employee, employee of any of its affiliates, close relative of any such employees or connected to the awards competition directly or through a close relative.
Votes can be made online by accessing from 08:00 (8.00am) on 14th April 2014 and must be received no later than 21:00 (9.00pm) on 25th April 2014. Any votes received outside the voting window will not count.
The shortlisted vote options were selected by a panel of Bhangra Music experts and Asian Network. The panel members are Boy Chana - Photographer, writer and DJ, Amarjit Sidhu – Pioneer Bhangra/British Asian music scene, Mohammed Ayub - Director of Oriental Star Agencies, Pardip Bhamrah - ´óÏó´«Ã½ Asian Network, Sanj J Sanj – DJ, Jags Klimax - DJ and music producer, Kuljit Bhamra, Record Producer, Tony Singh Pabla & Tejinder Singh Sohansoha - CEO/Cinematographer at Punjab2000.com, Ninder Johal - MD Nachural Records, Gurinder Chadha – British Film Director Poli Tank - Radio XL, Ish Singh & Sukh - Simply Bhangra founders of SimplyBhangra.com, Neila Butt - Editor, Asian Network. The songs selected are produced or performed by UK Bhangra artists and can include those who have had long-term residence in the UK.
The top 50 will be broadcast across on the Asian Network on 5th May 2014
No correspondence relating to the vote will be entered into.
There will be no prize for anyone taking part in the vote.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ reserves the right to disqualify entries or suspend voting if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting. The ´óÏó´«Ã½ has the right to substitute an alternative selection method at its absolute discretion.
If, for any reason, the online voting system fails, the vote may be suspended or a contingency plan may be actioned.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend the vote at any time.
The ´óÏó´«Ã½ cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction, or any other problem with any online system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered and recorded.
