When I was made I was propelled out into the open. A ball of rock, floating around in space. As I flew further I grew stronger hardened around the edge. I had started new life. I housed animals, plants and water. It was a very different life compared to the other planets and stars, much busier. My mother the sun was still in view and she shone down on be illuminating my land( which is about the only thing that she did and still does)
Years passed and the animals that had been living on me since the start were wandering around and seemed to be up to something. Then they changed into horrible aliens. Slowly they grew in population and had taken over me completely. Sometimes they hurt trampling around the place but sometimes they cared for me. So I called them ‘humans’ and left them to take over my surface.
Although they had my outside I kept my inside core to myself. It was very uncomfortable and I couldn’t move because the ‘humans’ would get angry if I splashed a ‘city’ with water or created a tiny little lump of rock they called a ‘volcano’ on their land. How I wished that I could go back home.
Every year I seemed to be coming closer to it. I was finally returning. Well I hoped so. It was 2100 and I seem closer than ever. I was getting kind of dizzy spinning around and at one point I felt like I was going to fall off my axis. The air around me was surprisingly hot seen as it was winter and almost 2100. My tired eyes closed. Lava then started leaking in towards me at the centre after massive explosions were bursting through. I had crashed into the sun! Then it popped. The entire shell covering me burst and blew away into the blackness of space. I wasn’t dead though but instead I had been remade.
Like when I was made for the first time I shot out away into blackness and hardened around the edge. One of the lovely differences that time was that when aliens invaded me and tried to take over I fought back and didn't let them. That life was better than then the time before it. It taught me a lot about trusting ‘humans’. Room was available all the time in my new world. My life was still busy though as I had to fight off aliens but not ‘humans’- different slimier, uglier ones. During that life I named myself Earth. I don’t know why that name came up but I just made up the name and stuck with it. Now I am in my 23rd life and surprisingly I still feel young. Only another 2100 years until my 24th life.
