The Governess

Period drama set in mid-19th-century Scotland, where a man begins an affair with his daughter's governess, unaware that she is a Jew.

Period drama about a young Jewish woman in the mid-19th century who lies about her religion to obtain a position with a Scottish family, where she finds herself drawn to the husband by their shared interest in photography. They begin an affair which is further complicated when the son of the family finds himself attracted to the governess, whose true identity he discovers.
