Drama based on August Strindberg's play about a 19th-century Swedish aristocrat who falls in love with a servant. On Midsummer's Eve in 1894 a family's servants gather for a dance. The worldy-wise young footman is engaged to one of the cooks, but the Count's daughter, naive but imperious, demands he dance with her instead. They talk through the night and slip into an affair - but will they dare to defy social convention?
