A realistic boxing film which portrays 72 uninterrupted minutes in a man's life. An ageing fighter refuses to duck out of his next bout because he believes he can win enough money to retire. Meanwhile, his cynical manager accepts a payment in return for throwing the match. A fast-moving film, savagely condemning a sport which is painted as dehumanising and brutal.
