Part 16
Richard Corrigan and Noel McMeel compete to represent Northern Ireland in the national finals. For the starter, Richard cooks up crubeens and Noel opts for a carpaccio of venison.
Fourteen of the nation's top chefs compete to convince the French that we can match them in gastronomic prowess.
In the battle for Northern Ireland, Richard Corrigan is defiantly defending his title against new boy Noel McMeel. Each edition the chefs will cook a different course, culminating with the presentation of their entire menu to the Great British Menu judges: Prue Leith, Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton. This edition looks at the preperation of the starters. Richard cooks up crubeens – stuffed pigs’ trotters - and Noel opts for a carpaccio of venison. Presented by Jennie Bond.
