German East African Province, 1913. Flynn O' Flynn is a lovable rogue and adventurer making his living from poaching ivory under the nose of the brutal Commissioner of the region, Fleischer. After one of Flynn's plans goes disastrously wrong, help comes in the unlikely form of Sebastian Oldsmith, a charming Old Etonian and the complete opposite of Flynn.
Together, this odd couple form an alliance and hatch a plan to blow up a German battleship, hidden away for repairs in Southeast Africa - a highly dangerous mission with no guarantee of survival.
