Comedy adventure set in 1940s Hollywood, combining cartoon characters with live action. Cartoon star Roger Rabbit can't focus on his acting because he thinks his wife Jessica is playing pattycake with someone else. The studio hires detective Eddie Valiant to snoop on her. But the stake-out becomes a crime investigation when Marvin Acme is found dead, and Roger is the prime suspect.
