Spectacular film version of H G Wells' prophetic essay on the future, The Shape of Things to Come, tracing a hundred years in the history of the urban metropolis Everytown, from 1940 and the Age of War to the year 2036 when mankind's destiny lies in the vast reaches of space. Wells himself wrote the screenplay for the film and worked closely in its production with the producer Alexander Korda.
