The Art of Catching Lobsters

Documentary set in Cornwall, as filmmaker Jane Darke records her terminally-ill husband Nick's attempts to pass on his knowledge and experience of lobster fishing to his son Henry.

Poignant documentary set on the Cornish coast, where filmmaker Jane Darke records her husband playwright Nick's recovery from a stroke through such activities as beachcombing and lobster fishing. Nick is then diagnosed with terminal cancer and Jane's film captures his attempts to pass on his knowledge and experience of lobster fishing and the ways of the sea to his son Henry.
