The LSO, under Valery Gergiev, perform Stravinsky's music for the ballet Petrushka and Symphony in 3 Movements, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No 1 and three of Debussy's Preludes.

Sara Mohr-Pietsch presents the second of three concerts given by the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican under the baton of chief conductor Valery Gergiev, playing works by three of the most innovative composers of the 20th century - Stravinsky, Prokofiev and Debussy. Featuring Stravinsky's music for the ballet Petrushka and his Symphony in 3 Movements, Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No 1 with soloist Vadim Repin, and three of Debussy's impressionistic Preludes for piano.
