Drama in which the long-term resident of a dull Swiss hotel, banished to a life of boredom by the Mafia, considers escaping exile after striking up a relationship with a barmaid.
Challenging, understated drama revolving around the misanthropic resident of a dull Swiss hotel who, it transpires, has been banished to a life of eternal boredom because of an error that cost the Mafia a fortune. Eventually, he strikes up a relationship with the hotel barmaid which prompts him to reconsider his situation, a decision set to bring him into a confrontation with his criminal employers once again.
