聽聽聽 There are just two forts left. Inveravon Fort is near Grange-outh. It is near the mouth of the Avon River. You鈥檒l understand that Avon comes from a Celtic root. It鈥檚 the same word as Abhainn [鈥渞iver鈥漖.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 East of Inveravon is Kinneil Fortlet, the last fort. This fort was found in 1976. Nine fortlets have been found. Perhaps people went in and out of the Empire at those fortlets.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The name Kinneil is inter-esting. In the 8th Century Pean-fahel was the easternmost place on the Antonine Wall. Peanfahel represents 笔别苍-蹿脿颈濒 鈥� end of the rampart. It is a mixture of British and Gaelic. Gaelic came to prominence in that area. Thus, the name changed to 颁别苍苍-蹿丑脿颈濒, or 颁别补苍苍-蹿丑脿颈濒, and, today Kinneil in English.
