This programme follows two homeowners who have decided to go it alone and sell their home without going through an estate agent. The aim is to save on commission fees, but they soon find out that not only is the job full-time, it is full-on. The experts, property developer Gary McCausland and former estate agent Jonny Benarr, put the homeowners through their paces to help them achieve that elusive sale.

Helen Nickson in Cheshire and the Elsons in Melton Mowbray are determined to sell their properties on their own, and will stop at nothing to gain that elusive sale in the currently-tough housing market. Helen attempts to sell her home at a local school quiz night, while Nigel Elson takes a unique approach to marketing by treating shoppers in nearby Nottingham City Centre to a spot of musical entertainment.
