Episode 12
Toby Buckland visits the most northern Royal Horticultural Society garden at Harlow Carr and Carol Klein works on the planting schemes at Glebe Cottage.
Toby Buckland, Carol Klein, Joe Swift and Alys Fowler give a few professional pointers to help you groom your garden to perfection.
Toby shows which plants help to extend the sumer season for the gardener when he plants new varieties of bright summer daisies at Greenacre, and visits the most northern Royal Horticultural Society garden at Harlow Carr, where he learns which flowers fare best in their borders, and how they get their more tender plants through the colder winters.
Carol combines steely blue sea hollies with the planting schemes at Glebe Cottage, and Alys plants up a window box of edible bedding, as well as harvesting the first of the season's potatoes from the nags she planted earlier in the year.
Plus, Joe puts some finishing touches to the garden he has been gradually transforming and offers tips on putting colours together.
