Brian Matthew presents the programme for all fans of the music of the 1960s.
With facts, figures and trivia as well as the classic hits, rarities, instrumentals and album tracks, the selection sweeps right across the most important decade for popular music from beginning to end. Including The Sixties Chronicles and this week Margaret Thatcher's first job, the volcano on Tristan Da Cunha and the death of Che Guevara as well as other events of this coming week during the 1960s.
The Three-in-a-Row choice of late 60s tracks are picked by Paul Butcher of Upminster and other tracks come from Bobby Bland, The Honeybus, Timi Yuro, Tom Paxton, The Beach Boys and Love Affair.

Sounds of the Sixties began in 1983 and Brian has been at helm since 1990, bringing to the programme his distinctive voice and unmatchable experience of 60s shows.
