Andrew Neil and Anita Anand present news and debate on the EU bill, which may face a Conservative rebellion in the Commons, and bankers' pay. With guest Lord Digby Jones.

Political news and debate with Anita Anand and Andrew Neil.

The government will be keeping a nervous eye on the House of Commons as the EU Bill is debated. A number of backbench Conservative MPs have indicated they're not happy with the bill and may rebel. We bring you the details of what's getting them so hot under the collar and speak to the Conservative's Bernard Jenkin who has a lot of concerns over the proposed legislation.

Another thing that's getting MPs angry is bankers pay, and with Barclays' chief executive Bob Diamond before the Treasury Select Committee this morning sparks could fly. We have some highlights and ask whether the government should do more to curb City salaries.

For most of us, this year could be a tough one with the government's austerity measures kicking in. We've been to Hastings to see how they're bracing themselves for the year ahead, and we speak to the former trade minister Lord Digby Jones to get his thoughts on whether the cuts will work.

And finally John Prescott has starred in an advert for moneysupermarket.com. So is the right thing for politicians to do? And is he any good? We get the thoughts of the advertising executive Tim Morton.
