A commons committee is asking the Government to introduce tough new laws on forced marriage. They want forcing someone into a marriage to be made a criminal offence, meaning that people could go to jail for doing just that, but would it ever work?
Can you imagine testifying against your parents in court or even giving information that could lead to them going to jail? Is this the right way of tackling forced marriages? Or will a law like this make it harder for people being forced, to come forward? Get involved.
