Cousin marriages, good or bad?

Satnam Rana sits in for Nihal. Can cousin marriages ever be justified? And do Asian Women have an alcohol problem? We want your opinions on this.

Satnam Rana sits in for Nihal. At 1, she is asking, can cousin marriages ever be justified?

Muslim TV Presenter Saira Khan has written an article in the Daily Mail attacking Cousin marriages and calling for the Government to ACT. She says the practise is responsible for "terrible disabilities" that she's seen first hand. She adds blindness, deafness and other serious disorders are being bred into Muslim communities.

She backs the comments made by the Geneticist Steve Jones, who said that Muslim families in Bradford were "inbred." What do you make of these comments? Do you agree with them or do you think British society has misunderstood cousin marriages?

We want you to get involved. Simply pick up the phone and give us a call.

After 2, Do Asian Women have an alcohol problem? According to research by the Asian Network, the number of Asian Women looking for help for drink related problems are on the rise. Does that surprise you? Can Asian Girls handle their drink? Or is this sort of thing said by men who try to control the behaviour of Asian women?
