Full length documentary that explores the 16 year history of Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters. From the 80s American punk scene through the trauma of Nirvana bandmate Kurt Cobain's death, Grohl's early career as a drummer hardly prepared him to emerge as a songwriter and frontman with Foo Fighters. He recorded the first Foo Fighters' songs as demos solo in his garage and then enlisted some old friends and drummer Taylor Hawkins to form a band that could tour the world.
Since then various band members have come and gone, the band have enjoyed three Number 1 albums in the UK and filled Wembley Stadium. This is their story up close and personal, with band members giving unique interviews and sharing emotional insights of life in the band.
