Music and Football don't really work.....think Diamond Lights by Hoddle and Waddle, Fog on the Tyne by Gazza and the truly appalling Outstanding by Andy Cole. So can a song performed by footballers ever be good?

There's only one way to find out, step forward our intrepid reporter Jamie Stangroom. In this programme he attempts to make a good football song using contributions from musically talented footballers, seeking out those players who away from the game can tinkle ivories, pluck strings or blow their own trumpets.

Once he's collected a mix of samples from the great (ish) of the game Jamie will hand over the results to a couple of top notch producers to get the song into shape. Then it's off to Radio 1 to see if anyone will play it!

Along the way Jamie gets some expert advice from the likes of Glasvegas, Bootsy Collins, Def Leppard, Peter Hook from New Order and the irrepressible Stuart Hall. He also discovers what type of music footballers use pre-match to psyche themselves up, and which players have the worst tastes in music - and that's a long list.
