Two more earthquakes have shaken buildings in Christchurch in New Zealand, the Syrian army takes control of Jisr al-Shughour, plus we choose book 1984 on our Virtual Bookshelf.

There've been two more earthquakes in New Zealand, four months after 180 people were killed in a tremor in Christchurch. We speak to John Ristau from the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences in New Zealand. He says it's all connected to a really big quake last September.

Dr Eugene Rogan, director of the Middle East Centre at Oxford University, gives us his views about Syria, where the army has taken control of Jisr al-Shughour.

There's been an attempted computer hack at the IMF. We speak to Kevin Mitnick, a former hacker who now acts as a security consultant.

And two real treats - 1984 is the 87th book to be chosen on our virtual bookshelf, and in the third hour we hear from Les Paul's son about his guitar legacy in the Pacifica radio archives.
