Johnnie re-visits the decade of big hair, big riffs, Blondie, Bolan and Bowie.

This week, singer-songwriter turned film and TV score composer Randy Edelman remembers his 70s, from flowery shirts on Top of the Pops to meeting and marrying Jackie DeShannon.

Johnnie also chats to Willie Nile, the New York rock 'n' roller who spent the 70s as part of the burgeoning new wave scene. A true musician's musician, Willie went on to work with luminaries from The Who to Ringo Starr and Bruce Springsteen.

The featured album is from an artist who had five platinum albums in the 70s and a further three that went multi-platinum: Neil Diamond. And you can hear Johnnie in conversation with Neil Diamond on Monday at 10pm.
