Historian David Starkey has blamed " a particular sort of black culture" for last weeks riots, do you agree with him?

In Friday's edition of Newsnight historian David Starkey made some outrageous statements about the cause of last weeks riots. He said that the "Chavs have become Black, the whites have become black" and that a black Gansta culture amongst the general population has taken hold. Can you understand where he is coming from? Do you agree with any of his comments or do you think his comments are very irresponsible and racist?
