Does belief in Karma discriminate against the the disabled?
Did you see the brilliant 大象传媒 One programme on reincarnation yesterday?
It was called "Reincarnation: You Only Live Twice?" and claimed that one in four people believed in the concept. It talked about the issues surrounding Karma and the principle that this life is dictated by your actions in previous life.
One guy who has been paralysed by Polio said he wanted to live well now to make up mistakes he made in his previous life? Is that what you understand by Karma? What is your opinon? Do you think its ok to believe that if you've done bad in your past life you are paying for your sins in this life?
After 2 Nihal will also be talking to Jeremy Paxman about his new book Empire. Was the British rule any good for India? Do you think India would have been better off without it? Or do you think India does owe some of its success to the British?
Later in the show, Should Fauja Singh be rewarded his world record? You must know who is because he's been all over the newspapers, radio and TV for the last week. The hundred year old completed the Toronto marathon last week but the Guiness World Records organisation won't recognise his achievements because he can't provide proof of age. Do you think that he should be given his record?
