An Litir Bheag 340
Tha mi a鈥 dol a chur cr矛och air an sgeulachd Na h-Amhaisgean no Na Tr矛 Saighdearan. Bha an saighdear a鈥 dol gu R矛oghachd na Fuarachd. Bha e a鈥 lorg a leannain. Bha e ann am bothan an d脿rna bodaich. Bha am bodach a鈥 c矛readh fheusaig le badan giuthais.
听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淣ach garbh a鈥 ch矛r a tha agad!鈥 thuirt an saighdear.
Thug e dha an d脿rna c矛r-eich.
鈥淔uirich an oidhche an seo. Faodaidh tu falbh anns a鈥 mhadainn.鈥
听听听听听听听听听听听 An l脿rna-mh脿ireach, bha an saighdear a鈥 falbh. Thuirt am bodach ris, 鈥淐uiridh mo bhr脿thair air an rathad cheart thu. Tha e aig astar latha is bliadhna 脿s a seo. Ach bheir mise dhut ceirsle sn脿tha. Caith romhad i agus bheir i ann thu an-diugh.
Bha e a鈥 caitheamh na ceirsle sn脿tha roimhe. Aig ciaradh an fheasgair, r脿inig e bothan. Bha bodach liath ann. Bha e a鈥 c矛readh fheusaig le sguab droighinn.
听听听听听听听听听听听 鈥淣ach garbh a鈥 ch矛r a tha agad!鈥 thuirt an saighdear.
Thug e dha an treas c矛r-eich.
鈥淔uirich an oidhche an seo. Faodaidh tu falbh anns a鈥 mhadainn.鈥
听听听听听听听听听听听 An l脿rna-mh脿ireach, thuirt am bodach ris, 鈥淭ha astar seachd latha 鈥檚 seachd bliadhna agad ri dh猫anamh. Ach bheir mi dhut lorg. Bheir i thu astar m矛le ann am mionaid. Agus bheir iolaire thu do R矛oghachd na Fuarachd.
鈥淣uair a ruigeas tu R矛oghachd na Fuarachd, bidh agad ri famhair a mharbhadh,鈥 thuirt am bodach.
Thog an iolaire an saighdear. Chuir i air t矛r e ann an R矛oghachd na Fuarachd. Mharbh an saighdear am famhair taobh a-muigh caisteal an R矛gh. Chunnaic an nighean e. Ghlaodh i ris an R矛gh, 鈥淥 athair, sin an saighdear a sh脿bhail mi bho na h-amhaisgean.
Agus dh鈥檉huirich an saighdear gu sona ann an R矛oghachd na Fuarachd gu deireadh a bheatha.听The Little Letter 340
I鈥檓 going to finish the story The Awisks or The Three Soldiers. The soldier was going to The Kingdom of Coldness. He was searching for his sweetheart. He was in the second old man鈥檚 bothy. The old man was combing his beard with a clump of pine.
听听听听听听听 鈥淲hat a rough comb you have!鈥 said the soldier.
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 have none smoother,鈥 the old man replied.
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 have better,鈥 the soldier said. And he gave him the second curry comb.
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 know where you鈥檙e going,鈥 said the old man. 鈥淪tay the night here. You can leave in the morning.
Next day, the soldier was leaving. The old man said to him, 鈥淢y brother will put you on the right road. He is a distance of a year and a day from here. But I鈥檒l give you a ball of thread. Throw it in front of you and it will take you there today.
The soldier left. He was throwing the ball of thread in front of him. At dusk he reached a bothy. There was a grey-haired old man there. He was combing his beard with a brush of blackthorn.
听听听听听听听 鈥淲hat a rough comb you have!鈥 said the soldier.
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 have none smoother,鈥 the old man replied.
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 have better,鈥 the soldier said. And he gave him the third curry comb.
听
听听听听听听听 鈥淚 know where you鈥檙e going,鈥 said the old man. 鈥淪tay the night here. You can leave in the morning.
The next day, the old man said to him, 鈥淵ou have to make a distance of seven years and seven days. But I鈥檒l give you a staff. It will take you at a speed of a mile a minute. And an eagle will take you to the Kingdom of Coldness.
He gave a loud whistle and an eagle appeared. 鈥淲hen you reach The Kingdom of Coldness, you鈥檒l have to kill a giant,鈥 the old man said.
The eagle picked up the soldier. He put him down in The Kingdom of Coldness. The soldier killed the giant outside the King鈥檚 castle. The daughter saw him. She shouted to the King, 鈥淥h, father, that鈥檚 the soldier that saved me from the awisks.
There was a great wedding. And the soldier lived happily in The Kingdom of Coldness for the rest of his life.Broadcast
