Take Shelter: We review the intense psychological thriller that may be the most powerful American film this year.

MoneyBall - We review the much anticipated Moneyball - based on a true story, this is a movie for anybody who has ever dreamed of taking on the system. Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, the general manager of the Oakland A's and the guy who assembles the team, who has an epiphany: all of baseball's conventional wisdom is wrong. Forced to reinvent his team on a tight budget, Beane will have to outsmart the richer clubs - and present a challenge to old school traditions that puts him in the crosshairs of those who say he's tearing out the heart and soul of the game .

'Blood In The Mobile' - Frank Piasecki Poulsen, discusses his documentary about how far some of the world's biggest mobile manufacturers, are aware that minerals essential to their product (most significantly cassiterite) are illegally mined in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

'50/50' Writer, Will Reiser discusses this film, inspired by his own story, about friendship, love, survival and finding humour in unlikely places. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen star as best friends whose lives are changed by a cancer diagnosis in this story of a guy's transformative and, yes, sometimes funny journey to health. Drawing its emotional core from Will Reiser's own experience with cancer, it reminds us that friendship and love, no matter what bizarre turns they take, are the greatest healers.

Our DVD Pick of the Week is Happy People - Werner Herzog ,'s documentary which charts the life of the indigenous people of the village of Bakhtia at the river Yenisei in the Siberian Taiga.

Take Shelter: We review this unsettling, hypnotic drama which boasts a quietly powerful performance by Michael Shannon as Curtis, a man succumbing to apocalyptic visions.
