In the new feature Headline News [Number one albums on noteworthy days], we hear Blowin' In The Wind by Peter, Paul & Mary, from the LP In The Wind. It was number one on 22 November 1963 - the day on which President John F. Kennedy was assassinated. We also hear Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac from Rumours. It was number one in the US on 25 May 1977 - the day the Star Wars movie opened.
In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from LPs by Firefall and Jill Scott. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Rich Girl by Daryl Hall & John Oates and a different song with the same title by Gwen Stefani.
In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1948 of Kenny Loggins. We also hear The In Crowd by Dobie Gray as a tribute to the recently deceased singer.
