Cardinal Keith O'Brien's comment - gay marriages are a 'grotesque subversion' of marriage.

Nihal asks if a religious leader has a right to say that same sex marriages are 'grotesque'. Plus a guest panel join him in the studio for Letting Off Steam.

At 1, Nihal is asking if, 'a religious leader has a right to say that same sex marriages are "grotesque"?'

The leader of the Catholic Church in Scotland, Cardinal Keith O'Brien, has come out fighting against the government's plans to allow couples of the same sex to get married. In a series of interviews he's referred to the proposed legalisation as a "grotesque subversion" of marriage and says that it denies a child the "right" of one parent of both sexes.

The Telegraph reports that the Catholic church are going to tell its congregation to campaign against the law. Do you think that's right? Should religious leader stay away from civil and political matters? Or if someone is religious, is it their right to campaign to stop something they don't believe in?

After 2, our guest panel - Comedian Sajeela Kershi, Author Sagheer Afzal and Sports Journalist Vithushan Ehantharajah, join Nihal in studio for 'Letting Off Steam.'.
