At 1, Is it time to ditch the term "Asian"?
Sikh and Hindu groups in the UK has said they want the term "Asian" banned from official documents and in News reporting. They are also saying the reporting of the recent grooming in cases in Rochdale has been is wrong because most of the people committing these crimes are of Pakistani origin, so to use the term "Asian" is wholly inaccurate and unfair to other communities of Asian origin in Britain.
But what do you think? Do agree with these arguments being put forward by Sikh and Hindu groups? Are they being Islamaphobic? Why do Asians want a distinction?
