Fears of a big government offensive in Syria, sectarian killing in Burma and the US Marshal who's chasing three prisoners 50 years after they escaped Alcatraz.

Giles Dilnot is in for Rhod Sharp, as we speak with an activist in Homs about fears of a big new government offensive in Syria.

We look at the sectarian killing that's been happening on and off in the east of Burma for decades, but which only now is becoming widely known about as the military government there relaxes its grip.

We speak to NASA about their mission...not to space....but to the bottom of the sea.

We go to China to find out more about another 120 terracotta warriors discovered by archaeologists.

And we speak with the US marshal searching for the only three prisoners to have escaped Alcatraz, fifty years to the day after they disappeared. We also get a unique insight into the time when the island off San Francisco operated as a prison, speaking with a man who lived there as a child while his father was associate warden.
