Asian obsession with marriage

Nihal asks whether Asians girls are obsessed with getting married, plus he talks to Kuljit Bhamra and Abdulkarim Raas about their new collaboration, Somali Party In Southall.

Are Asians girls girls obsessed with getting married?

We're asking this because a model called Leena Kapoor has reported Elite Pakistani umpire Asad Rauf to Police alleging that he had gone back on a promise to marry her during what she claimed to be a relationship. Mr Rauf says that Miss Kapoor is someone who asked him for help to break into TV and denies any proposal or relationship despite seemingly affectionate photos appearing on the internet. Mr Rauf is 56, Miss Kapoor is 21.

But this set us thinking, are Asian girls just obsessed with getting married? Leena is a 21 year old model who clearly hopes to have a stellar career, what could she possibly see in a cricket umpire almost three times her age? Is it because all Asian women are obsessed with marriage?

if you're a bloke who's dating, do you always feel that marriage is always on the mind of every woman you meet? Do you find half your time trying to avoid the topic?

Ladies is this fair? Is marriage the be all and end all? Is that what you think about every time you meet a boy? Or is that frankly insulting?

And after 2 speaks to musicians Kuljit Bhamra and Abdulkarim Raas. They've put an album together called Somali Party in Southall which merges the sounds, languages and cultures of Somalis, Punjabis and Swahili-speaking East Africans.
