Golden Temple Koh-i-Noor Diamond
Nihal asks whether Britain should surrender the Koh-i-Noor diamond to the Golden Temple, plus he debates bulk buying in Keep It Or Leave It.
At 1pm, Nihal's asking whether Britain should surrender the Koh-i-Noor Diamond to the Golden Temple. According to newspaper reports this morning, a man claiming to be the rightful descendant of the last Sikh Maharaja in the Punjab has launched a legal bid to force the British Government to surrender the Koh-i-Noor diamond back to India and for it to be placed in the Golden Temple. What do you think about this? The Koh-I-Noor sits in the Tower of London set in crown last wore by the Queen Mother. Its been in Britain's hands for over a hundred and sixty years, should Britain give it back after such a long stretch?
After 2, it's 'Keep it or Leave it'. How do you feel about bulk buying? Has the thought of Asians stockpiling rice, dhaal and toilet rolls become a clich茅? Are we just bulk buying for the sake of it, is it a habit? Or, does bulk buying save you money? Is it a sensible way to keep cost down with rising food prices?
