The pressure intensifies as the battle for a place in the final eight reaches its climax. At the end of this episode the contestants will learn who has been deemed worthy of a place in the next round and who will have to hang up their kitchen whites for the last time.

The task is simple. The remaining celebrities must cook a faultless two-course meal to wow the judges. However it is not just John and Gregg they need to impress but also three guest judges who know exactly what standards they expect: former Celebrity MasterChef finalists Christine Hamilton, Phil Vickery, and Nick Pickard.

With their last chance to impress and reach the final eight, emotions in the kitchen are running high and the pressure proves too much for some contestants. Recipes, timings and presentations must all be perfect to impress the panel - the Celebrity judges deliver some frank and cutting responses to some dishes, whilst others fare much better. Only the best can go through to the final eight and become a step closer to winning the title of Celebrity MasterChef 2012. For those who don't make the grade, the journey ends here.
