Five short films which aim to inspire young learners to produce their own musical compositions, no matter their skill level or musical experience. Varying starting points and approaches illustrate that anyone can produce pleasing rhythms and sounds ranging from the simple to the complex. Groups of children show how it can be done using not only traditional instruments but everything from found sounds to electronic loops on computers to instruments they've made from rubbish! Along the way, they also look at taking inspiration from their environment and learn how to produce music to match the changing moods and scenes of silent movies.
