Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's interfaith marriage
Niahl asks whether Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's interfaith marriage will make the practice more acceptable. Plus he speaks to Dr Kailash Chand, deputy chairman of the BMA.
At 1, Nihal is asking, does the marriage of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor make interfaith marriages more acceptable? The couple got married in Mumbai after going out for five years. They are a hugely popular couple in Bollywood, but will their popularity and mass appeal help to break down certain prejudicial attitudes people have? After all - she's Hindu and he's Muslim. They certainly aren't the first inter faith Bollywood couple - Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and, Imran Khan are just a few other examples of stars marrying women from different religions. But is the example set by them filtering down to the people who watch their films? After 2, we speak to Dr Kailash Chand, who's recently been elected the deputy chairman of the British Medical Association. And later in the hour; as it's an all male final of the Great British Bake Off tonight, we're asking - Are men better at baking than women?
