Cluinnidh sinn sgoilearan a chl脿r e leis an teip recorder agus cluinnidh sinn bho sgoilearan a bha a' cruinneachadh facail is eile dha.
Norman Macleod, Am B脿rd Bochd, was a teacher, poet, writer, socialist, collector and conservator of Gaelic song and oral tradition, and a Gael to his very core. He was passionate about all the spheres in his life and exuded warmth, humour and commitment in each. Norman worked tirelessly and incessantly to preserve and advance the Gaelic language and culture in all its forms but shunned any recognition or accolade. He was a man ahead of his time whose death in 1968 was untimely, but he left, in his collection and works, a lasting legacy worthy of acknowledgment. In this programme, we hear from former pupils and fellow teachers who recall his unique style and method of teaching which were both advanced and unorthodox at the time.
