Bhiodh e a' sgr矛obhadh deilbh-chluiche ghoirid a bhiodh aig a' chloinn; a' cruinneachadh facail, abairtean, 貌rain agus sean-fhacail c貌mhla riutha; a' sgr矛obhadh a h-uile c脿il le aon chorraig air typewriter; agus an uair sin a' d猫anamh leabhraichean de na chruinnich e air am biodh e fh猫in a' cur c貌mhdach. Bha tape recorder aige cuideachd agus 's iomadh 貌ran is eile a chl脿r e leis. Bh脿saich Tormod ann a 1968. Cluinnidh sinn mun obair-sgoile a bh' aig na sgoilearan agus mar a lean buaidh teagasg Thormoid riutha chun an l脿 an-diugh.
Norman Macleod, Am B脿rd Bochd, was a teacher, poet, writer, socialist, collector and conservator of Gaelic song and oral tradition, and a Gael to his very core. He exuded warmth, humour and commitment in each sphere of his life and Norman worked tirelessly and incessantly to preserve and advance the Gaelic language and culture in all its forms but shunned any recognition or accolade. He was a man ahead of his time whose death in 1968 was untimely, but he left, in his collection and works, a lasting legacy worthy of acknowledgment. In this programme, we hear from former pupils and fellow teachers who recall his unique style and method of teaching which were both advanced and unorthodox at the time.
