Are religious tattoos offensive?
We're asking this after a white British tourist was refused entry into Sri lanka after an Immigration officer took exception to a tattoo of Buddha peeking out from under his t-shirt.
Anthony Ratcliffe from Nottingham says the official "went crazy" when he saw the image and frogmarched him into a detention centre. He was refused entry into to the country because of the tattoo despite having a valid tourist visa.
What do you think when you see religious tattoos? Do you think they are offensive or do you think they can ever be used as a tribute.
When you see young people with an "Om", "Khanda" or religious words in Arabic tattooed, do you get angry or think the person wearing the tattoo is celebrating the religion?
Mr Ratcliffe says that he had a deep understanding of Buddhist philosophy and that the customs officers were wrong.
Sri Lanka has had a record of recently cracking down on disrespect for Buddha recently.
