Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor is the editor of Overheard: Stories to Read Aloud (Salt), which was the winner of the Saboteur Award for Best Fiction Anthology. He is the author of Entertaining Strangers (Salt) and the short story collection Kontakte and Other Stories (Roman). For Jonathan hearing stories read aloud is like ‘listening in colour’.

George Dawes Green

George Dawes Green

George Dawes Green is a novelist and the founder of the storytelling organisation The Moth, which arranges storytelling events across America, inviting people to stand up and tell stories about their lives. George tells us why failure is important in storytelling, and how celebrities can’t quite get the hang of it.

Christine McMahon

Christine McMahon

Christine McMahon is a member of Hebden Bridge’s Shaggy Dog Storytelling Club. Her stories reflect her northern roots and take their influences from many places, she reads us a story that mixes Lancashire and Africa, and tells us why she was frightened of the word Storyteller.

Daniel Morden

Daniel Morden

Daniel Morden travels the world telling stories. We asked him to create a fable for us, based on the story of our very own Ian McMillan’s birth, and to tell us what images inspired him. Daniel is touring his show ‘A Love Like Salt’.
