Sunday Morning with... Cathy Macdonald and Ricky Ross

Cathy and Ricky present two hours of highlights from Sunday Morning With... in 2012, featuring Albie Sachs and Tony Benn.

Two hours of the best moments of Sunday Morning With in 2013, in the company of presenters Cathy Macdonald and Ricky Ross.
Highlights include award-winning Gaelic broadcaster and sports enthusiast Niall Iain Macdonald talking to Cathy. Niall Iain lives and works on the Isle of Lewis and had a very personal and powerful story to tell. In May 2007 Niall disappeared. He was 33 years old, had a girlfriend, friends and a successful radio career. Cathy recalls the interview and what happened next.
Albie Sachs is a distinguished lawyer, and prominent anti-apartheid campaigner and activist. He survived a bomb attack in 1988 - targeted as a result of his campaigning to bring justice to a new South Africa. He was one of the creators of South Africa's post-apartheid constitution after the first democratic elections in 1994 and Nelson Mandela appointed him a Judge in the country's newly established constitutional court. An extraordinary life. Ricky recalls this as one of his highlights of 2013.
People don't usually talk about churches and show-business in the same sentence but it's a different story in New York. St Malachy's Roman Catholic Church sits between Broadway and Eighth Avenue - in the heart of the most famous theatrical district in the world.Last year on the programme, our reporter Anna Magnusson's took a closer look at the church they call 'The Actor's Chapel', and we hear that report again.
Other highlights include a fascinating interview with Paul Vallely, author of 'Pope Francis: Untying the Knots', the first biography of the Pope by a British author. An extract of an interview Richard Holloway did while in the Sunday Morning With presenter chair, with Tony Benn, talking movingly about the loss of his brother and wife.
Cathy recalls a memorable trip to Iona in the spring, and a visit to the studio of artist John Lowrie Morrison who has been inspired by Iona throughout his career.
