Concerto Caledonia and Rick Wakeman

Rick Wakeman shares one of his all-time favourite pieces of classical music, plus Jamie MacDougall talks to Concerto Caledonia director David McGuinness about their new album.

'My Music' comes coutesy of rock legend, Rick Wakeman, who shares one of his all-time favourite pieces of classical music with Classics Unwrapped.

Scotlands premiere period music ensemble, Concert Caledonia release a new album, this week, based on the works of Captain Tobias Hume. The groups director, Davis McGuinness, takes Jamie on a journey through the history, music and exotic instruments that form this new release.

Conductor Davis Watkin looks forward to his performance of Debussy's Pelleas and Melisande at Greyfriars and talks to Jamie about how this piece has been a part of his life from an early age.

RSNO's director of learning, Jenn Minchin is in the studio with 17 year old music enthusiast and singer, Nicole Vasey to talk about how schools can get involved in the RSNO's engage project.

Jamie plays the final in his Beethoven Symphony series that comes to it's conclusion with the mighty 'Ode To Joy' from Beethoven's 9th.
