Johnnie revives the spirit of freeform American radio heard in the late '60s and the 1970s and plays a selection of the records heard on FM rock stations.
Tonight's show features artists produced by Lou Adler, one of the pivotal figures in the Californian music scene, including The Mamas and The Papas, Spirit, Carole King and Merry Clayton. Plus tracks from albums by Jefferson Starship and Tom Waits that were listed on the FM Action radio chart for a week in October 1974.
