International Day of Older Persons

Mary Anne Hobbs learns about the healing powers of music ahead of the International Day of Older Persons and is joined by the Over-Seventies 6 Music Fan Club.

Invite your aunties, uncles, grandparents and neighbours around! It's an all-inclusive breakfast this morning...
Mary Anne is celebrating International Older People's Day with special guests Rozana Whiteley and Greg Hanford from music therapy company MusAbility, and singer and pianist Eleanor Meynell, who will be discussing the benefits of music to those living with dementia.
We're also joined by our "Over Seventies 6Music Fan Club", who will be sharing with us their favourite musical memories.
International Older People's Day is a celebration of the achievements and contributions that older people make to our society, and takes place every year on October 1.
