Lesbians experience of faith
The issue of faith and sexuality regularly makes headlines, last week the Catholic synod rejected a wider acceptance of homosexuality despite the Pope's seemingly liberal position,听and in the last 12 months there have been a wave of new听homophobic听laws from the Urals to Uganda. So it鈥檚 timely that the Homotopia faith debate, chaired by Diva editor, Jane Czyselska and human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell, takes place on the 12th November as part of the Homotopia Arts Festival in Liverpool. The debate will explore the tensions that exist between faith and sexuality and how being lesbian or gay impacts on faith. Ahead of the debate, Rabbi Ariel Friedlander, theologian and star of the American Christian music scene, Vicky Beeching and Safra project board member, Nadia, join Jenni to discuss the tensions between their faith and sexuality.
