With Stiff Little Fingers

Liz chats to Jake Burns, founder member and frontman of Stiff Little Fingers, who recently released their crowd-funded tenth studio album, No Going Back.

Liz chats to Stiff Little Fingers founder member and frontman Jake Burns. They released their crowd funded 10th studio album No Going Back earlier this year and are out on a European and UK tour.
They formed in Belfast in 1977 and became known for singing about their experiences of the troubles in Ireland. Their debut single Suspect Device sold well and was picked up by John Peel. The debut album Inflammable Material, released in 1978, sold over 100,000 copies. They moved to London after this, and recorded 3 further albums before disbanding in 1982. They reformed in 1987 and have been through various line up changes over the years. Jake is the only member to have remained throughout, though original bass guitarist Ali McMordie re-joined in 2006.
