The Heath Quartet and pianist James Baillieu explore love and death in eastern European chamber music. Dvorak: Piano Quintet in A, Op 81. Martinu: Three Madrigals, Op 313.

The Heath Quartet and pianist James Baillieu join forces in Perth concert hall to explore love and death in the chamber music of Eastern Europe. They begin with Dvorak's richly melodic Piano Quintet in A Op.81, inspired by the rhythms of Czech dances. Martinu's playful set of madrigals for violin and viola follow, dedicated to violist Lillian Fuchs and her violinist brother Joseph.
