Marc-Andre Hamelin, Carducci Quartet

Marc-Andre Hamelin (piano) performs Schubert's Four Impromptus, D935. Plus the Carducci Quartet playing Shostakovich's String Quartet No 7 in F sharp minor, Op 108.

This week's lunchtime concerts come from the Cheltenham Festival, performed by the Canadian virtuoso pianist Marc-Andr茅 Hamelin, and the award winning Carducci Quartet. Today's concert features music by Schubert and Shostakovich, performed in two historic settings - the Tithe Barn at Syde Manor and the Pittville Pump Room.
